About
Pilates DNA is a boutique Pilates studio dedicated to teaching the authentic Pilates method, also known as Contrology. Rooted in the original work of Joseph Pilates, our approach emphasizes the transformative power of the method to strengthen the body, focus the mind, and elevate the spirit.
At Pilates DNA, we believe in the profound simplicity and effectiveness of Joe’s system, a method he meticulously refined over the course of several decades. Contrology teaches the will of the mind to control the body, leading to a balanced and courageous existence. By adhering closely to Joe’s principles, we aim to offer our clients the same benefits that inspired us: a strong, centered, and harmonious body and mind.
The name “DNA” reflects the foundational nature of the practice. Just as DNA is the blueprint for life, Pilates DNA represents the building blocks of a life lived in optimal health and balance. The circular, spiral patterns of the DNA helix also resonate with the energy and flow inherent in the Pilates method, symbolizing interconnectedness and growth. Through our work, we celebrate the timeless beauty and effectiveness of Joe’s method, honoring its roots while inspiring a new generation to experience its transformative power.
